Prayer Walk: Warren UMC to FUMC

From Warren UMC to FUMC along Centre Ave.

The Warren and First United Methodist Wrestling with Racism Team is sponsoring a Prayer Walk along Centre Avenue on October 3, 2026. Participants should plan to arrive at Warren UMC by 9:45 AM. The Walk will begin at Warren United Methodist Church by 10 AM and will cover the 1.9 miles on Centre Avenue to First United Methodist Church by approximately 11:30 AM.

During the Walk, the group will make stops to pray for churches, institutions, and neighborhoods along the way. At the conclusion of the Walk, participants are invited to join the First Food and Friends lunch at First United Methodist Church at 11:30 AM. Walkers will need to wear comfortable walking shoes and carry their own water.

A van will be available to transport walkers between the two churches. Those who wish to park at First UMC need to arrive before 9:30 AM when the van will leave for Warren UMC. After lunch at First UMC the same van will transport walkers who have parked at Warren UMC.

Those who prefer to just join the group at Warren UMC for the opening prayers or who prefer to come to First UMC for the concluding prayers and lunch are encouraged to do so.
