1st Wednesday of every month
6pm
Corner of South Aiken & Centre Ave.
Our Black Lives Matter vigils continue with us gathering again on the first Wednesday of the month at 6:00 PM at the corner of Aiken and Centre Avenue. We have held these half-hour vigils as signs of witness and of defiance against letting the racial injustices against our Black siblings be forgotten. As we see all these other cruelties happening around us, we need to remind ourselves that what is happening to our immigrant communities is rooted in the same kind of racism that have de-humanized Black and Indigenous people. The vigil is an opportunity to give voice and visibility to our Christian beliefs that we are all children of God. Please come and join us.
After the vigil, the Pittsburgh District anti-racism team will be meeting in the parlor. This will be a recurring monthly meeting.
