Immediately following the Special Called Session of General Conference, the Western Pennsylvania A Way Forward Task Force, General Conference Delegation, Cabinet, and Bishop will conduct debriefing sessions in each of our ten districts. The locations and times of those sessions are published on the Conference website. Persons may attend any of these sessions at any district if location and time are more convenient.
The purpose of the sessions will be for lay and clergy members of the United Methodist Church in Western Pennsylvania to hear accurate information about the decisions made at the Special Called Session of General Conference and the process we, as an annual conference, will undertake in order to implement the legislation that is passed. Those who attend the debriefing sessions will have an opportunity to ask questions and respond to the decisions made.
The Pittsburgh District Debriefing will be Sunday, March 24 at 2 pm at Salem UMC (350 Manor Rd, Wexford, PA 15090). There is ample parking in the lot behind the church. Beginning at 1:30 pm, light refreshments will be available.
We invite you to attend this debriefing session, to engage with our Bishop, delegates, and your District Superintendent. We continue our call to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
